Join us for a day-long celebration of dancing on the Corvallis riverfront. We've invited the greater Corvallis dance community to perform, teach, and share their styles of dance.
National Dance Day is an annual celebration designed to encourage Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and prevent obesity, and to honor the benefits that dance brings to everybody.
10:30 a.m.: Performance by Pu'uwai O Ke Kuawa (Heart of the Valley) Hula
11:00 a.m.: Performance by Pacific Tap Dance Company
11:45 a.m.: Performance and lesson by Mid-Valley Clogging Company
12:00 p.m.: Performance by Albany Oregon Folkdancers
12:30 p.m.: Lesson by Hoolyeh Folkdancers
1:00 p.m.: Cuban salsa lesson by Rumbanana
1:30 p.m.: Midday break
3:30 p.m.: African drumming with Drum-Atics
4:15 p.m.: Demonstration by OSU West Coast Swing Club
4:30 p.m.: Bellydance performance by Tribal Rising Dance
5:30 p.m.: Dancing by OSU Ballroom Dance Club
6:30 p.m.: Swing lesson with Lindsey and Ellen of Corvallis Swing Dance Society
7:00 p.m.: Swing dancing with Corvallis Swing DJs: Phil, Lindsey, and Eileen
9:00 p.m.: Blues dancing with OSU Blues DJ: Mark Mills
