Happy September! We’re winding up our summer classes with a two week introduction to Collegiate Shag at Style Your Swing on Wednesday, September 11 and 18. Collegiate Shag originated in the 1930s and falls under the umbrella of swing dance, similar to Charleston, Lindy hop, and Balboa. - 7:30 – 8:15 p.m.: Lesson taught by Lindsey Almarode & Bailey Keefe
- 8:15 – 9:00 p.m.: Practice & dancing to DJed music
Class is held at Odd Fellows Hall and there is a suggested donation of $5.
First Dance of Fall
Our fall season begins Friday, October 11 with our first Friday OSU Swing Dance of the academic year.
- 7:45 p.m.: Doors open
- 8 – 9 p.m.: Beginner 6-count Lindy hop lesson
- 9 – 11 p.m.: Dancing to DJed music
We’ll be at the Women’s Building our OSU venue, and cover for the evening is $5.
Join us on Mondays, October 21 – November 18 at 7 p.m. for our premiere lesson series. Lindy 1 will cover basic 8-count Lindy hop footwork, connection, swing-out, turns, and other fun moves.

Track Town Throwdown
Our friends at Track Town Swing our holding their first ever weekend event on October 4 – 6, the Track Town Throwdown. They’ve got a stellar lineup of international instructors, plus the amazing Stealin’ Apples Jazz Band featuring Jen Hodge.
The event features two days of workshops, two nights of dancing to live music, competitions, and daytime activities. Workshops are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Registration is available at: tracktownthrowdown.com/registration/

We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary with a weekend event of our own. The Corvallis Swing Weekend is January 31 – February 1, 2020. It’s a three day affair with live bands, special guest DJs, evening and late night dances, and more. Details will be revealed soon.
