We’re excited to bring back one of our favorite summer events! Join us for weekly lessons, practice and dancing.

Join us on Wednesday evenings for a 45-minute lesson, followed by social dancing to DJed music. Teachers will be available during the DJed music to give help and feedback as needed.

Beginning Drop-in Lessons: October – December

Beginning Drop-in Swing Lessons

Come learn the basics of swing dancing in our drop-in classes before each dance. Lesson topics vary from dance to dance, but will always cover basic footwork and a couple of different moves.

Each lesson is an hour long and is designed to get you moving and on the dance floor.

Bring a partner or come by yourself; we rotate partners frequently during the lesson. You’re free to choose whether to lead or follow, regardless of gender.

What should I wear?

Swing dancing is an athletic activity. Wear clothing and shoes that are comfortable to move in.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing a water bottle, deodorant, and a heart full of silliness.

Swing Dance in Independence – September 8

This September, we’re carpooling up to Independence, Oregon for the fourth year in a row to host a dance. We’ll be sharing the wider culture of swing dancing with the folks of this town.

The format will be similar to our regular dances, with an hour-long beginner lesson followed by two hours of social dancing.

Our friends at Maxine’s Ballroom have a beautiful space in what was once the historic Odd Fellows building.

From downtown Corvallis, Independence is just over a 30 minute drive to the north, through scenic Willamette Valley countryside.

The ballroom is located at 120 C St. in the heart of downtown Independence, across from Riverview Park.

Carpool Info

We will meet in downtown Corvallis at the parking lot next to the skate park, near the corner of 2nd and B streets. Carpools will leave at 6:20 p.m.

Lindy 1: Mondays, October 21 – November 18

Cost $45 (advanced), $50 (door)

This 5-week lesson series will cover basic 6 and 8-count footwork, swing-out, Lindy circle, turns and more. The goal is to get you comfortable and having fun on the dance floor.

Each week there will be an hour of instruction time and a half hour of practice time.

This class is all ages, individuals and partners welcome. Willingness to rotate partners and dance with different people in class is required.


For this series, you can pay $45 in advance or $50 at the door.

Corvallis Swing Weekend – Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2020

Save the date! In celebration of our tenth anniversary, we’re hosting a weekend of live music and dancing.

Expect a heck of a party, with bands from around the valley, special guest DJs, evening and late night dances, and community activities.

We’re excited to bring back one of our favorite events from last summer! It’s part structured lesson, part guided practice, and a whole lot of dancing.

Join us on Monday evenings for a 45-minute lesson, followed by DJed music and guided practice. We’ll be running a number of mini-series throughout the spring and summer, at beginning and intermediate levels. Teachers will be available during the practica to give help and feedback as needed.

Some weeks, we’ll have two lessons in different rooms.
